Brandt is currently seeking a Network Analyst to join our IT/IS team in Regina, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and monitoring existing network devices and circuits. They will provide input on new technology and be a key player in the design and deployment of chosen initiatives. They will stay abreast of new technologies and practices related to network and security disciplines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain and support existing infrastructure including datacenter networks, site networks, corporate Wi-Fi, VOIP systems, enterprise firewall, etc.
Site based work installing or supporting network hardware.
Work with vendors to identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving the overall network performance and security.
Identify opportunities and establish policies to ensure the security of the corporate network.
Provide advanced network support to the service desk team.
Mentor and coach peers.
Some travel will be required.
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in a dedicated network support role.
Relevant Post-Secondary Degree, College Diploma.
Expert knowledge and experience with the following network elements: IP Subnetting, TCP/IP, DNS, IP trunking, NAT, VLAN, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), enterprise wireless solutions, VOIP, VPN Tunnels, load balancing, network performance monitoring tools, etc.
Capacity to work autonomously with limited supervision.
Strong problem solver that adheres to best practice solutions.
Clear and concise communicator both oral and written.
Candidates with the following technical skills/training will be preferred:
Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCNA) or similar industry certifications.
Experience with Cisco products such as ISR routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, UCS.
Experience or training with Fortinet firewall and security products.
Experience with data center network architecture and equipment.
