Job Description
Wanuskewin Heritage Park is accepting applications for a part time Building Operator reporting to the Building and Grounds Manager. The position will:
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for all Wanuskewin visitors and guests by consistently completing daily routine procedures.
- Ensure each room in the facility is adequately stocked with necessary inventory and advises management of supply needs in advance

- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for all Wanuskewin visitors and guests by consistently completing daily routine procedures.
- Ensure each room in the facility is adequately stocked with necessary inventory and advises management of supply needs in advance ensuring inventory is kept at reasonable levels.
- Update management of any safety concerns or hazards.
- Use facility equipment in a safe, responsible and proper manner.
- Participate in safety meetings and the development of safety policies.
- Conduct light maintenance duties to equipment and assets to ensure longevity.
- Provide notification to management of any potential equipment/asset breakdowns.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure quality client-oriented services are provided that meet the overall organizational direction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate a requirement
- Class 4 or 5 Power Engineering Certificate an asset
- Knowledge of HIPPO preventative maintenance systems an asset
- Knowledge of building controls systems an asset
- Minimum three years experience and the ability to operate and maintain a variety of equipment including a building boiler system.
