Job Description
SGI is looking for a permanent, full-time Traffic Safety Coordinator in Regina. This position supports the development and implementation of programs and initiatives related to traffic safety specific to Indigenous communities and targeted community groups throughout Saskatchewan. SGI is looking for a permanent, full-time Traffic Safety Coordinator in Regina. This position supports the development and implementation of programs and initiatives related to traffic safety specific to Indigenous communities and targeted community groups throughout Saskatchewan. This targeting programming will contribute to the reduction of collisions, fatalities and injuries in Saskatchewan. In this role you will identify, collaborate and maintain relationships with external/internal sources of support in addressing traffic safety issues within communities i.e. work with law enforcement, provincial/federal agencies, and Indigenous communities.
A significant amount of work is performed away from established headquarters and significant travel, including overnight stays, is required.

Requirements
SGI is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. This position will be filled by a qualified candidate who identifies as a person of Indigenous Ancestry. We are looking for candidates who have a two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business or Social Sciences. Experience in maintaining relationships within Indigenous communities and stakeholders will be considered an asset. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
