Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate for this role will be involved in and assisting with completing the accounting functions for the organization and operating companies.  You will also be involved with financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate for this role will be involved in and assisting with completing the accounting functions for the organization and operating companies.  You will also be involved with financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The successful candidate with function at a high level and maximize company value through driving continual improvement.

Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely financial results.
Review of financial reports from the organization and operating companies.
Updating of consolidation of financial reports for management.
Inventory reporting and reconciliations.
Assistance with Budget and Forecast preparation.
Analytic review and report preparation for internal financial statements.
GST returns for holding companies.
Assistance with the preparation of Corporate Tax returns for organization and operating companies
Ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day accounting responsibilities and resolve any queries as they arise.
Assist in the preparation of long-range plans, forecasts, and annual budgets.
Establish and support new accounting practices, methods and procedures as required.
Work closely with the Controller and other members of the Finance team in the development of critical projects and deliverables.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes:
Bachelors degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years of combined auditing and accounting/consolidations/financial reporting experience.
Designated CPA is preferred.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening and presentation skills.
Strong organization and change management skills.
