The Accommodations and Attendance Management (AAM) Specialist is a member of the Community of Expertise (CoE) and provides superior cross functional advice, analysis, guidance and resolution as an operational partner and subject matter expert within the Human Resources Department in the design, delivery, and implementation of accommodations and attendance support services and strategies to improve operations, achieve goals, and resolve issues. The Specialist provides support to all levels of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and acts as the primary liason with external partners including 3sHealth, Worker's Compensation Board (WCB), Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI), Unions, health care providers in all scopes; including health care specialists such as Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Physicians and Surgeons.
The Specialist leads complex Return to Work/accommodations and attendance support processes through a complex case management process including communication with unions, insurers and health care providers. As the lead, they gather information, investigate solutions as it relates to accommodation and attendance. This includes researching and maintaining knowledge of current case law and arbitration decisions based on advanced knowledge of Human Rights, legislation and provincial labour law. Valid Class 5 Driver's license
