- Office Education/Secretarial certificate plus completion of a Medical Terminology course OR Medical Office Assistant Certificate (OR)
- If no such applicant found, applicant with Office Education/Secretarial Certificate required to complete an approved Medical Terminology course, at their expense, through an approved educational institute within two (2) years of commencing the job.

Experience:
- One (1) year previous experience as a Clinic Assistant (OR)
- One (1) year previous experience in a health care environment performing administrative duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability and willingness to work cooperatively and effectively with SCA staff members and/or external partners.
Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities
Ability to work independently
Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Access database application
Creative ability in developing layouts for reports, presentations, information bulletins, etc
Demonstrated typing speed of 55 words per minute.
Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.
In depth knowledge of the Health Care system is preferred, specifically the Saskatoon Health Region and/or Regina QuAppelle Health Region.
