The Victoria Hospital is a regional hospital with 164 acute care beds which includes an 8 bed intensive care unit that provides services to a population of 80,000 including northern and northeastern Saskatchewan. There is approximately 1,600 births at the Victoria Hospital per year as well. The internist is to provide on-call coverage as well as other internist service to the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region
