Job Description: Reporting to the Director Long Term Care, the Facility Administrator is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the day-to-day operational activities of long term care/services/programs for Carrot River Health Care Centre and Arborfield Health Care Centre. The Facility Administrator ensures quality care/services/programs through the implementation of policies and standards that meet with best practice consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Kelsey Trail Health Region. The Facility Administrator participates in a team concept of management, accepting responsibilities associated with ensuring the coordination of long term care services in Carrot River Health Care Centre and Arborfield Health Care Centre. The Facility Administrator provides the overall management of the facility in the absence of Departmental Directors and facilitates the interdisciplinary functioning of the building by providing positive leadership and support for continuous quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Commerce or related field
Experience
Possess a background in Long Term Care with a minimum of two (2) years experience of management and leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet
Knowledge of the Collective agreement process and labour relations.
Additional Qualifications/ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
