Job Description
Touchwood Child and Family Services Inc. requires a Child and Family Services Worker for the Pasqua First Nation. The Child and Family Services Worker's primary objective is ensuring the safety and well being of children in care and to work with the families to address identified issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-complete all case-plans, documentation and legal agreements in accordance with the Child
Touchwood Child and Family Services Inc. requires a Child and Family Services Worker for the Pasqua First Nation. The Child and Family Services Worker's primary objective is ensuring the safety and well being of children in care and to work with the families to address identified issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-complete all case-plans, documentation and legal agreements in accordance with the Child and Family Services Act & the Family Centered Services Manual.
-Work with families and out of home placements towards safety, well being and permanence of children.
-Work closely with local community to facilitate integrated service delivery model.
-Make appropriate referrals for specific needs.
-Prepare documentation and attend all family services court.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSW/BISW
-Criminal/vulnerable sector check
- Knowledge of First Nation culture
- Ability to develop and establish a trusting and strong working relationship with staff, clientele, First Nation communities and TCFS Inc. interest groups
- Effective communication skills; computer literate
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
- Must possess a valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence
