The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant laboratory, located near Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, is accredited to ISO 17025 standards that support continuous improvement.
The Plant is currently seeking a full time laboratory technologist. This position reports to the Senior Laboratory Technologist and performs a variety of analytical duties to ensure that all water quality objectives for treated water are met. In addition

The Plant is currently seeking a full time laboratory technologist. This position reports to the Senior Laboratory Technologist and performs a variety of analytical duties to ensure that all water quality objectives for treated water are met. In addition to the Plant, the Cities of Regina and Moose Jaw are supported in the operation and maintenance of their distribution systems.
Duties: Includes collecting and analyzing specimens of water and other materials for a variety of chemical, physical and microbiological analyses; supporting the laboratory quality control program; maintaining computerized databases; maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment; assisting in the development of new analytical protocols and the implementation of various research projects.
The laboratory has a Risk Group 2 Human Pathogen and Toxin License as required by the Public Health Agency of Canadas Human Pathogens and Toxin Act.
