Weyburn is a thriving prairie city nestled in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan and a dynamic community providing exceptional quality and opportunities for its residents and visitors. The City of Weyburn is a multifaceted organization employing much of the local public in a variety of meaningful careers. The City strives to be an engaged and diverse employer with approximately 105 employees, increasing to over 130 during summer months. The City of Weyburn is offering an opportunity to work at Weyburn Leisure Centre with Leisure Services as a Lifeguard/Instructor. As we continue to grow and prosper as a community, we seek a motivated and innovative employee to join our team!

Responsibilities:
Work a daytime shift to meet the program requirements (We offer flexible hours around individuals with families with all weekends/ holidays and no school days off);
Attend in-service training sessions as well as utilize set pool times for personal fitness and maintenance of certification levels;
Administer emergency procedures, enforce aquatic safety policies as well as facility operating policies;
Maintain a positive attitude with public and staff to ensure a harmonious working relationship;
Assist with pool maintenance and other program services when necessary;
Maintain and upgrade certifications as required;
Report any unsafe condition(s) to immediate supervisor; and
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Red Cross Lifeguard
Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
First Aid & CPRC-C
City of Weyburn will provide training opportunities, if required
