Job Description
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment Division is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to provide support for the implementation of systems to obtain and subsequently maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and a Drug Establishment Licence (DEL) within the Environmental Analytical Laboratories.

The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Environment Division is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to provide support for the implementation of systems to obtain and subsequently maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification and a Drug Establishment Licence (DEL) within the Environmental Analytical Laboratories.
Accountabilities
Develop and implement procedures to ensure conformance with GMP/DEL and existing ISO 17025 requirements
Interact with relevant regulatory agencies, such as Health Canada, to obtain and maintain licences and certifications
Ensure relevant laboratory analytical procedures are compliant with GMP/DEL and other requirements
Maintain appropriate records and update systems as required
Interact with employees to develop, revise and implement new and existing laboratory procedures and processes
Conduct reviews and audits to ensure laboratory methods and procedures are correctly documented and that processes are carried out appropriately
Review results of internal audits to ensure any necessary corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
Qualifications
Detailed understanding of GMP and DEL requirements, as well as an understanding of the licencing process. Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements is an asset
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and statistics
A diploma or degree in chemistry, biochemistry or other related science discipline
A minimum of one year related experience is preferred
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
