Job Description
Ag First Financial Corporation (AFFC) provides farm working capital financing and lease financing to agricultural producers located in Western Canada. AFFC is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our growing business operations.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for the following:
1. Underwriting
Information gathering from the client
Investigation, due diligence, and financial analysis
Background checks
Credit structure and pricing recommendation
Credit approval within assigned limits
Risk

The Financial Analyst is responsible for the following:
1. Underwriting
Information gathering from the client
Investigation, due diligence, and financial analysis
Background checks
Credit structure and pricing recommendation
Credit approval within assigned limits
Risk rating evaluation
Interim reviews
Annual renewals
2. Loan Servicing
Loan documentation
Security preparation and registration
Portfolio monitoring and reporting
3. Process Control
Adhering to internal policies and control
Information management
Data integrity and security
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant post-secondary education with a Diploma/Degree in Business, Finance, or Agriculture
2-5 years of relevant underwriting experience (preferably in an agricultural setting)
Knowledge of farm producer finance and analysis, with a focus on grain and beef production
Sound analytical and assessment skills supported with strong business writing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi task
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in using Microsoft Office , particularly Word and Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills
