SMW is hiring for a full-time anodizing operator. The applicant must have initiative and be a self-starter, safety and quality conscious, and be able to work on their own. Preference to those with chemistry experience.
Responsibilities:
- To work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and organized operating environment
- To operate anodizing process equipment
- To maintain chemical solutions within their operating limits of concentration and PH balance
- To learn, practice and develop the best manufacturing techniques.
Duties
- Use hands and arms in racking, handling, installing, positioning and moving materials, and manipulating things in processing.
- Use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
- Complete data records, including, processing sheets/ job log entry, job traveler, customer specific requirements and other documents as required.
- Cleans work area, tanks, tank accessories, covers etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on chemical solutions
-    Perform other and related duties as assigned
Experience
- Knowledge of acids and bases
- Basic chemistry experience
- Knowledge of proper disposal requirements an asset
