Applications are invited for a part-time permanent (3 hrs and 21 mins/day) Educational Associate at Brunswick School with duties to commence as soon as mutually agreed upon.

Duties:
The Educational Associate provides support services to students and teachers in a school setting within the division to meet curricular outcomes. The duties of an Educational Associate will vary depending upon the special needs

Duties:
The Educational Associate provides support services to students and teachers in a school setting within the division to meet curricular outcomes. The duties of an Educational Associate will vary depending upon the special needs of student(s).

Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or (GED) is required.
Formal post-secondary training/experience as an educational associate or comparable work experience would be considered an asset, along with the ability to work as part of an instructional team.
Possess a current and valid Drivers License.
Proficiency in the operation of computers.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without a lift and up to 120 pounds with 2-man lift or with mechanical lift.
Ability to handle physically/emotionally demanding children (i.e. aggressive, hyperactive students).
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated empathy for students with exceptional needs will be considered a requirement for potential applicants.
Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union.
