Night Personal Care Attendant

Job Description
Personal Care Attendant is required by a quadriplegic man to assist with night living duties. These include, but are not limited to, bed repositioning throughout the night as directed, transferring between bed/wheelchair and wheelchair/commode, personal hygiene (showering, dental care, personal grooming), meal preparation and light household duties as needed.

Personal Care Attendant is required by a quadriplegic man to assist with night living duties. These include, but are not limited to, bed repositioning throughout the night as directed, transferring between bed/wheelchair and wheelchair/commode, personal hygiene (showering, dental care, personal grooming), meal preparation and light household duties as needed.
The successful candidate would ideally have previous personal care attendant experience, good communications skills, be physically fit, possess a caring and empathetic attitude, take direction well, be respectful of family members and maintain the home in a tidy manner. Confidentiality between the caregiver and the client is a firm requirement, together with reliability and dependability.
The part-time position will provide twenty five hours weekly, depending on availability. The night shift is from midnight until 6 a.m. Hourly pay would be commensurate with experience and is negotiable. Two months prior notification is required for vacation in order that replacement care may be found.
