The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)(former Sun Country Health Region) invites applications for the position of family physician. The Primary Health Care Network provides core and rotational services to Fort QuAppelle, Balcarres, Lestock & Raymore. Based out of the Fort QuAppelle Primary Health Care Centre the physician will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in providing primary health care services and ER on call service (1:7 rotation) to the community of 2500 (increased population in summer months), the rural municipalities, and the File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council communities. The incumbent will also participate in various related activities including but not limited to committees, supervision of physicians and learners, and the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Family Medicine in the Regina Area.

Applicants must hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants must also have ACLS certification.

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
