The File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) Health Services is a dynamic innovative health organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory.
Reporting directly to the Director of Client Services and/or designate, the Surveillance Screener will be responsible for screening patients and visitors to the All Nations
The File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) Health Services is a dynamic innovative health organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory.
Reporting directly to the Director of Client Services and/or designate, the Surveillance Screener will be responsible for screening patients and visitors to the All Nations Healing Hospital (ANHH) adhering to the safety screening protocols and procedures of ANHH. This position will have a high degree of interaction with visitors/patients entering the ANHH facility. This position will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) during their shift.
Duties Include:
Screen patients/visitors to the All Nations Healing Hospital utilizing screening procedures and protocols.
Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate department of the ANHH
Respond to patient/visitor inquiries in a professional, respectful and courteous manner
Set up screening desk at the beginning of each shift
Clean and sanitize high touch surfaces of the screening area
Record contact information
Adhere to HIPA to ensure confidentially and privacy of all patients/visitors
Competencies:
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as collaboratively within a team setting
Ability to handle conflict situations
Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekend shifts
Punctual and dependable with an ability to work in a confidential environment.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and respect of First Nations culture and traditions
Valid class 5 licence
CPIC & Vulnerable Sectors check.
