Junior Gas Bar Clerk

Job Description
The Junior Gar Bar Clerk participates as a member of the Hometown Co-op organization to provide customer service, process customer transactions, dispense gasolines, diesel fuel, oil, and propane and assists in receiving of freight. The Junior Gas Bar Clerk performs duties in accordance with the mission statement and policies/procedures of Hometown Co-op.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide excellent customer service by being dependable for all shifts, handling customer complaints and providing warranty service in a professional manner as per Hometown Co-ops policies and procedures
To perform exterior and interior housekeeping and maintenance duties
To operate the Point of Sale System (POS)
To assist in ordering, receiving and displaying merchandise as directed by the Supervisor
To perform opening and closing procedures as directed by Supervisor
To dispense gasolines, diesel fuel and propane (where applicable)
To clean, fill and maintain all machines, example: slush, hot dog, coffee, etc.
To be responsible for providing a neat, clean and well merchandised front end at all times
To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner
To be responsible in the area of loss prevention
To be familiar with and adhere to Hometown Co-op policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Scheduled shifts may vary from weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Position will require standing for long periods of time
Lifting of items required that may be 25 pounds or heavier
Required to wear a designated Co-op uniform and name tag and steel toed boots
