Job Description
The Saskatoon Housing Authority needs an individual with experience in the administration of rental properties. This is an in-scope term position.
Accountabilities:
. Determination of client eligibility under the Social Housing platform based on asset limits, household income, rental history etc.
. Responsible for unit allocation based on applicant needs
. Maintain updated property listings, transfer requests, timely data entry of tenant changes, etc.

Accountabilities:
. Determination of client eligibility under the Social Housing platform based on asset limits, household income, rental history etc.
. Responsible for unit allocation based on applicant needs
. Maintain updated property listings, transfer requests, timely data entry of tenant changes, etc.
. Coordinate & update application renewals, process applications and current leases
. Maintain vacancy reporting & ensure accurate and timely data entry of vacate/rent termination dates & reason for vacancy
. review utility billings & advises the finance team regarding applicable charges.
. completes or assists with the completion of monthly activity statistic reporting
. Obtain verification of income and other supporting documentation for the application process and accurate rent calculation.
. Meet with tenants to ensure the Social Housing lease and Rent Supplement Programs are understood and relay obligations for either party.
. Familiar with the Office of the Rentalsman (ORT), eviction procedures, possession, arrears collection, disposition of abandoned property, accurate supporting documentation, schedule move out inspections.
. Establish and prepare arrears repayment schedules.
Education
. Minimum Grade 12 with successful completion of an accredited business program and 3-5 years experience.
. A criminal record & vulnerable sector check will be required at time of hire.
. knowledge of the Saskatchewan Residential Tenancies Act would be considered an asset.
. Understanding of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Act
. Valid Driver's License and use of road worthy vehicle.
. Additional third party vehicle insurance ($1,000,000 minimum coverage)
. proficiency in English required (reading, writing & correspondence)
