Job Description:
The main responsibility of our Ski and Snowboard instructors is to provide an excellent guest experience while in a safe and professional teaching environment. Instructors teach guests of all ages and ability levels across private lessons, group lessons and multi-week programs. As well as helping out in other areas as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Instructing and coaching guests of all ages and abilities to ski or snowboard.
Knowledge of long-term skier/rider development process.
Completion of reports & relevant administration forms as and when required.
Teaching familiarity of how to load and unload ski lifts.
Teaching individuals new skills and techniques to help improve their ability in all terrain.
Promoting safety and the Alpine Responsibility Code to teach students to remain safe when out skiing/snowboarding without an instructor.
Undertaking other Resort tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
The Right to Work (legally entitled to work) in Canada for the 2024/25 season.
CSIA/CASI L1+ certification (or equivalent) is required. Terrain park certification is considered an asset.
Clean vulnerable sector police check upon request
Impeccable decision-making skills, communication, and adherence to all DMSA safety policies.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times.
Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
