The SPSA is seeking an organized, results-oriented, and team player for a full time position of Business Analyst in the Emergency Communications Branch. The Business analyst works closely with key stakeholders to plan, analyze, test, and implement business processes that leverage the
technological capabilities and maximize opportunities for increased efficiency. The Business analyst works with other team members, stakeholders and service providers to coordinate the successful delivery of Information Technology related projects.
The position reporting to the Director of Information Technology will:
Provide oversight and management for the effective delivery of projects and tasks within the work unit, using IT industry best practices, tools and methodologies.
Lead teams through the inception, development and delivery of projects, assisting procurement and finance team members on meeting project expectations and objectives.
Provides support on managing the daily work tasks, identifying and escalating issues, reporting on task status.
Research solutions, analyze and identify potential improvements and risks, and provides recommendation on strategic business solutions
Provides daily support, technical and program direction to service providers and vendors to resolve system/service delivery problems and assist clients in the effective use of their applications.
Acts as a liaison between business units, technology teams, support teams, vendors, service providers and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and tasks can be met effectively.
Engage with solution developers, service providers and vendors on developing solutions, working through project scoping exercises or project deliverables.
