Job Description
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Logistics Technician at Buffalo Narrows Response Centre.
The position is responsible for the logistics functions in the acquisition, storage, warehousing, packaging, shipping, retrieval and delivery of fire equipment and other supplies.

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Logistics Technician at Buffalo Narrows Response Centre.
The position is responsible for the logistics functions in the acquisition, storage, warehousing, packaging, shipping, retrieval and delivery of fire equipment and other supplies.
This position will coordinate procurement and delivery of fire suppression goods and services to Protection Area Fire Bases and develop procedures and guidelines related to inventory control. The successful candidate must be able to physically perform tasks such as moving, lifting and loading supplies and equipment from vehicles and equipment.
Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control procedures and practices is required. Your ability to apply proper safety practices according to established protocols and safety guidelines to protect self and co-workers is critical to this position. Strong computer skills are required. You will be approachable and flexible in dealing with members of the public and your work unit, self-motivated to complete tasks, and adaptable to changing work situations.
Working conditions can include working undefined hours and working in remote locations in inclement conditions. You may be required to work extended or irregular hours and up to 12 days in a row. You must be willing to work away from headquarters for extended periods and be temporarily assigned to other locations in the province.
To qualify:
Possess and maintain a valid class 5 or greater drivers license
Preference will be given to candidates 18 years of age or older
Completion of Grade 12 would be an asset.
