Job Description
The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking a Case Aide Worker. Reporting to the Area Program Manager, the Case Aide will provide administrative support services to team staff. This position will also assist team staff to provide child and family services for the member First Nations of Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc.

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking a Case Aide Worker. Reporting to the Area Program Manager, the Case Aide will provide administrative support services to team staff. This position will also assist team staff to provide child and family services for the member First Nations of Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc.
Qualifications: Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act is a definite asset.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Knowledge of appropriate YTCCFS Inc. and community resources in relation to client needs. Updating the client case files with new information; filling out and submitting children in care forms to the appropriate departments; filing of documents, letters, and forms as required, assist the staff in the coordination and preparation of materials for meetings/workshops/training sessions as required; photocopying/faxing/typing of letters/documents; assisting Integrated Family Service Worker (IFSW), or Resource Unit staff with Contact Standards face to face visits and provide the IFSW with an email contact note record. Contact note;- documentation of transports, face to face and home visits would be sent to the IFSW and Supervisor for signatures, comments and then filed. Data Collection: - obtaining CIC demographic information for case files, (education, health, optometrist, profile information, photo and other requirements). This information will be placed on the files. Ensure the Child In Care, Family Files and/or Resource Case Files are structured in the approved format set out by the Area Program Managers.
Must provide a current criminal record check and submit to Abuse Registry screening.
Must sign an Oath of Confidentiality and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Access to a reliable vehicle.
Able to work some evenings and weekends.
