About the Role
As an Engineering Assistant III, you'll take on dynamic responsibilities in:
- Managing and analyzing databases related to transportation planning and roadway infrastructure.
- Supporting roadway design, construction, preservation, and transportation planning efforts.
- Conducting engineering testing, field inspections, drafting, and surveying.
- Operating specialized analysis software to generate reports and insights for asset management and maintenance programs.
- Coordinating new technologies in roadway construction and preservation.
Youll also liaise with public representatives, consultants, contractors, and other government agencies, playing a key role in the development of our city's road network.

Key Qualifications
- Completion of one year of an engineering technology diploma program and at least four years of experience in civil and/or roadway engineering.
- Knowledge of transportation infrastructure management and engineering principles.
- Ability to work with GIS and CAD software (Arc View, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong problem-solving, data management, and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle for work (travel allowance provided).
