The Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority (ADEA) is seeking a competent, confident, motivated individual to fill the position of Grade Six (6) Teacher at Father Gamache Memorial School, located in Fond Du Lac, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide strong interpersonal skills, commitment to learning and teaching in project-based ways and provide an enthusiastic learning environment for students.
The ADEA is a First Nation Education Authority serving the three Denesuline First Nations communities in northern Saskatchewan; Black Lake First Nation, Hatchet Lake First Nation, and Fond Du Lac First Nation. The Authority serves a total student population of approximately 1,400 students. The Authority is working toward improved educational outcomes by utilizing the latest technology, progressively piloting programs, and integrating Denesuline culture into the classroom and school curriculum.
To qualify for this position, you will need to have a Bachelors Degree in Education or equivalent and must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. Experience in teaching First Nations students at a remote community and have First Aid Certification would be an asset. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to the community.
