The ReStore Manager oversees operations at Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewans ReStore, a nonprofit retail outlet that supports affordable housing efforts. This role includes strategic planning, operational oversight, and community engagement, while fostering positive experiences for customers, donors, staff, and volunteers in alignment with Habitats mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Inventory: Build donor relations, manage stock levels, negotiate with vendors, analyze inventory data, and ensure procurement compliance.
- Safety & Security: Conduct safety training and audits, manage incidents, and implement loss-prevention protocols.
- Employee Management: Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, policy compliance, and conflict resolution while promoting team cohesion.
- Financial Management: Monitor cash flow, analyze sales trends, manage pricing strategies, minimize shrinkage, and maintain financial records.
- Sales & Promotions: Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, boost underperforming categories, organize events, and train staff on sales strategies.
- Community Engagement: Build partnerships, represent the ReStore at events, collect feedback, and enhance local visibility.
Skills
Proficient in retail management software, POS systems, Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, data analysis, basic design tools, and safety protocols.
Education & Experience
High school diploma required; post-secondary education and relevant certifications are assets. 23 years in retail management and team leadership preferred. Must understand finance, community engagement, and safety standards.
