AGT Food & Ingredients Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Regina Head Office team.

The successful candidate will:

Prepare journal entries
Coordinate and consolidate the monthly inventory book vs physical adjustments
Prepare the monthly management reporting on inventory adjustments
Perform the monthly reconciliation of grain inventory and other various general ledger accounts
Understand sales related costs (freight, commissions, etc.) and reconcile the liability

Prepare journal entries
Coordinate and consolidate the monthly inventory book vs physical adjustments
Prepare the monthly management reporting on inventory adjustments
Perform the monthly reconciliation of grain inventory and other various general ledger accounts
Understand sales related costs (freight, commissions, etc.) and reconcile the liability accounts monthly
Complete monthly gross margin reporting and analysis
Assist with variance analysis
Assist with corporate initiatives as required including note preparation, internal control testing, etc.
Assist with year-end audit requests
Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of existing processes
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required

Skills & Abilities Required:

At least currently enrolled in the CPA program
Prefer two to four years of work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills and attention to planning, process, and detail
Must be a self-starter with a positive, entrepreneurial spirit
Experience in the Agricultural industry, preferred, but not required
