Current Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience in managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including but not limited to:
- Financial management: accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking
- Account reconciliation and analysis
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Internal control procedure implementation and improvement
- Preparing GST and PST returns
- Process adaptation and evolution as the business grows
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' recent experience in a senior level accounting position
- Excellent technical knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and best practices
- Strong time management and deadline meeting skills with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superb interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail
- A CPA designation is considered an asset
