The Disability Programs Program and Service Design Branch at the Ministry of Social Services is seeking a Program Effectiveness Consultant who is a highly motivated, innovative, and detail-oriented individual with expertise in SQL, VBA, Java Script, and ETL including advanced data integration, data manipulation, automation, database development, and business intelligence reporting solutions and tools.
The successful candidate will:
- Have expertise and strong proficiency in programming languages (i.e., VBA, SQL, and JavaScript).
- Be responsible for developing and operationalizing different processes (e.g., ETL) to extract, verify and combine data sets.
- Have advanced knowledge of Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro to create forms and manipulate data.
- Have strong data visualization skills and extensive experience using tools such as Power BI and Excel, including writing code to develop and present large and complex data sets.
- Have experience applying research methodologies in order to structure and manage data and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Be a leader with demonstrated ability to understand and respond to multiple demands;
- Be results-oriented and accountable with the ability to exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment;
The knowledge and skills for this position are typically acquired through a graduate degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or other related disciplines. These educational qualifications should be combined with at least three to five years of professional-level experience with SQL, VBA, JavaScript, ETL, business intelligence software, database modelling, and in a complex, integrated IT environment, especially in analytics, data warehousing and reporting. Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training will be considered.
