The In-Home Health Care Aide is under the direction of the Nurse in is responsible for assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes. This individual will be required to travel to the individual's home to assist with all aspects of client care, including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care and hygiene, grooming, dressing, socialization, client transfer from assistive devices
The In-Home Health Care Aide is under the direction of the Nurse in is responsible for assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes. This individual will be required to travel to the individual's home to assist with all aspects of client care, including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care and hygiene, grooming, dressing, socialization, client transfer from assistive devices or beds, supervising exercises, and medicine administration. This individual will also provide emotional support to the client and their family members.
Qualifications include but not limited to:
Must lead a healthy lifestyle.
Travel to clients homes to provide a variety of home healthcare support services.
Assist clients with meal preparation and feeding of clients, as required.
Assist with client transfers, ie, lifting or turning to transfer from assistive devices (including wheelchairs) to chairs or beds.
Supervise clients' exercise routines.
Assist with the personal care of clients including dressing and grooming.
Assist with maintaining client personal hygiene, including help with bathing and toileting.
Perform light housekeeping required including cleaning up clients' living area, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens,
Maintain records of clients' care, condition, progress, or problems to report.
All applicants must possess the following requirements:
Continuing Care Aide Certificate or be willing to complete the training upon hiring while working (via online)
Must possess a Safe Food Handling Certificate or be willing to complete the course upon hiring.
Valid First Aid Certificate
Must be a positive role model and team player.
Must maintain and support confidentiality.
Must have a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract and be able to commute between client homes.
