SUMMARY OF POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Feed and Nutrition, Formulator is a key person within the Feed Department who ensures proper implementation of our hog nutrition and feeding programs.

Responsibilities:
Working with the Nutrition, Procurement, Feed Assure and Feed Production teams. Formulate diets and implement hog feeding programs at company owned and toll feed mills in Alberta and Saskatchewan

Working with the Nutrition, Procurement, Feed Assure and Feed Production teams. Formulate diets and implement hog feeding programs at company owned and toll feed mills in Alberta and Saskatchewan
Monitor and report adherence to diets, budgets and feeding protocols
Keep up to date on innovations and new products related to swine nutrition
Produce necessary quality reports
Visit farms and mills as needed
Other duties as assigned

Experience and Training:
University Degree in Animal Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Valid drivers license
Feed mill, BRILL and Metafarms experience are not essential but are definite assets
