RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To prepare, administer and be responsible for the sales, margin, expenses, inventory, EBITDA and SPEH of the Maple Creek Food Store.
2. To be responsible for the adherence and enforcement of Pioneer Co-op policies, procedures and safety aspects, and to be responsible for the management of all Maple Creek Store departments and support all other team leaders.

3. Ensure acceptable level of service is provided, staff attitude is appropriate and Hassle-Free Guarantee program is followed.
4. Ensure all department staff are meeting and exceeding minimum standards for safe food handling procedures.
5. To prepare the annual budget, conduct inventory, ensure all claims, invoices, ordering, pricing and all other paper work is completed for specified deadlines.
6. Adhere to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, staff appearance, housekeeping and loss prevention.
7. Ensure proper management of assets and adherence to a maintenance schedule.
8. Ensure the proper recruitment procedure are followed, and to ensure all performance management processes are followed.
9. Implement and follow written performance expectations and standards.
10. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to scrutinize operations and initiate remedial action where necessary. Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, communication skills, outgoing and energetic personality. Previous experience managing a successful grocery department required. Fresh
department experience preferred. Ability to solve problems. Physically able to do heavy lifting. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to further knowledge through training. Supervision and budgeting experience would be an asset. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive; and therefore, would be subject to
Pioneer Co-ops Alcohol and Substance policy.
