The Ministry of Social Services looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team of Child and Caregiver Support Workers in the Nipawin office. In this role, you will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative, and support services to children and their families using the P.R.I.D.E. model and the Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.
In this position, you will:
-Be responsible for casework and resource planning related to a variety of programs for children in care, foster families, and/or extended family caregivers;
-Work effectively and positively to support regional directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to children and their families;
-Deliver training or facilitate groups for educational/support purposes.
To qualify for this position, you will possess a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work degree from an accredited university, as approved by the SASW/CASW or CASWE; OR a Human Service Degree* plus relevant related experience; OR a Social Work Certificate plus relevant related experience. All out-of-country education must be assessed as accredited for Canadian equivalency.
*Human Service Degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and/or Psychology, Education, Human Justice, or Indigenous Studies or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing plus relevant related work experience.
All candidates must possess a current driver's license valid in Saskatchewan, as the successful candidate will be required to travel, work flexible hours that may include evenings or weekends, and transport children (or parents) in service delivery.
