- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written to write and format moderately complex correspondence, including media releases, memos, letters, etc.

- Experience with media design, website management, content management and current social media.
- Requires knowledge of syntax, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary to write, edit and produce communication materials
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy laws
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Manage, plan and develop internal and external communications strategies, programs, policies, media design and activities including teacher recruitment, reputation management, visual identification, employee media, public relations and promotions.
- Gather, distribute and report information to be used in communicating legislation, board positions, programs and policies, i.e., annual report.
- Coordinate and report on scheduled annual events/projects which include new teacher orientation, NATA convention/new teacher banquet, retirement tea, years of service awards, school board elections, etc.
- Promotion of monthly themes/events and support indigenization: National Education Week, Anti-Bullying Week, Orange Shirt Day, National Indigenous Peoples Day, Louis Riel Day, Staff Shout Outs, etc.
- Use and promote the usage of Division social media (Facebook, Instagram, X) for professional learning and communication of events and activities by school and office staff.
- Overall content manager for the Division's website and support local school websites.
- Other tasks as defined by the Director of Education.
