Job Summary
Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Registered Nurse with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)] will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of limited common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools (CDT) and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment; in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standards and with Saskatchewan Health Authority policies and procedures.
Experience
- One year experience working in an Emergency Room is required
- Two (2) years related experience
- Emergency nursing experience and the utilization of electronic medical records are required.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- An Registered Nurse AAP in good standing in the general practice category who has successfully completed additional approved or recognized nursing education courses or successfully completed a prior learning assessment; and completed an application for authorized practice;
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) as a RN(AAP).
Must possess a valid drivers licence and have a vehicle available for work.
Currently ACLS certified....
