As the Technologist 2, Regional Systems, you will perform operation and maintenance work, laboratory and field testing, meter reading and prepares required operational, maintenance, regulatory and status reports within an assigned regional water and wastewater system. The regional water and wastewater system may include SaskWater or customer owned water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution/transmission and wastewater collection systems.
To qualify, you will have:
A two-year technical diploma. Preference will be given to candidates with a Water Resources Engineering Technology diploma or a similar discipline.
Certification as an Professional Technologist (P.Tech) is required to be obtained.
Certification at the appropriate levels in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment is required to be obtained in accordance with the Operator Certification Board requirements or existing industry reciprocity agreements.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 1.5 years of progressively more responsible experience.
Special Requirements: The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
