The Community Mental Health Nurse (CMHN) is responsible for delivering comprehensive, community-based mental health nursing services to individuals, families, and groups. CMHN plays a key role in assessment, intervention, treatment planning, health promotion, and crisis response. The position emphasizes culturally safe, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practice that supports autonomy, dignity, and holistic wellness. The CMHN works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, Elders, and community partners to strengthen mental wellness and reduce the need for hospital-based care.

Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN/BN) or Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing.
Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan.
Minimum of 23 years recent experience in mental health, addictions, or community nursing.
Knowledge of:
o    Mental health legislation, DSM-V, and psychiatric medications.
o    Trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and culturally safe care.
o    Indigenous health perspectives and holistic wellness approaches.
o    Strong skills in crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic communication.
    Drivers license. Must provide a clear drivers abstract.
