Job Description
The Facilities Project Consultant provides specialized and expert advice and leadership of project teams to support major facility capital construction projects. This person is a senior corporate champion with strong project management skills who on behalf of the Facilities Engineering Branch delivers large and complex facility construction projects, with project budgets of up to $20 million. The Facilities Project Consultant provides specialized and expert advice and leadership of project teams to support major facility capital construction projects. This person is a senior corporate champion with strong project management skills who on behalf of the Facilities Engineering Branch delivers large and complex facility construction projects, with project budgets of up to $20 million. The Facilities Project Consultant must possess demonstrated experience as the lead project manager delivering complex, rehabilitation, maintenance and investment projects in a variety of sectors with multiple stakeholders. Project management methods and knowledge will be key to project success. Excellent communication skills and experience in leading and facilitating client discussions and project meetings that result in scope and process clarity that ultimately lead to decisions that move projects forward are required.
The Facilities Project Consultant reports to the Manager of Facilities Engineering within the Facilities Engineering Branch which is comprised of engineering and technical staff who work on a variety of projects, from facility system/component replacements to major renovations and new construction.
