Job Description
The Family Support Worker plays a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to families in need within the community. They offer in-home support to families facing various challenges, including but not limited to parenting difficulties, social isolation, financial strain, mental health issues and promote overall well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Conduct comprehensive assessments of families' needs and strengths.
-Develop individualized support plans in collaboration

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Conduct comprehensive assessments of families' needs and strengths.
-Develop individualized support plans in collaboration with families, setting achievable goals and objectives.
-Provide practical assistance and emotional support to families, parenting skills training, household management, budgeting, and accessing community resources.
-Offer guidance and encouragement to enhance family communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
-Advocate on behalf of families to access relevant services and resources within the community.
-Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all interactions and interventions with families.
-Collaborate effectively with other professionals and agencies involved in the family's care, including social workers, healthcare providers, and educators.
-Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to family support practices.
-Undertake various duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the organization and meet the evolving needs of the community.
Requirements:
-Certificate or diploma in a Human Services or related field; alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience
-Previous experience working with diverse families facing various challenges.
