The Ministry of Social Services is hiring term Child Protection Workers in Nipawin and Melfort to deliver services under The Child and Family Services Act and The Adoption Act. These roles offer dynamic, challenging work in inclusive environments with opportunities for advancement, competitive salary, pension, and various types of leave.

The ministry seeks candidates committed to supporting children and families through protective, preventative, and support services using the Family Centered Case Management Model. Ideal applicants will be flexible, compassionate, and skilled in assessing family functioning and child safety, developing intervention plans, and working collaboratively with families and agencies.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university (SASW/CASW or CASWE approved). Candidates must be able to travel, work evenings and weekends, and transport children and families. Experience in child protection, court processes, and long-term care planning is essential. Knowledge of First Nations Child and Family Service agencies is an asset.
