The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Programs, North Service Area, is seeking Emergency Duty Workers in Meadow Lake for a permanent part-time role. This position offers an opportunity to provide critical after-hours emergency services to families in need. Hours vary based on emergency callouts, and there are no guaranteed hours. You will report to a Child and Family Supervisor and play a vital role in supporting families during crises.

We are looking for candidates who are adaptable, compassionate, and committed to child safety. You must be able to work flexible hours, travel as required, and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting and carrying small children. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure are essential.

Candidates should have knowledge of human services policies, practices, and procedures. Typically, this is gained through a diploma or degree in a Human Services-related field and/or experience in a human service setting. A valid drivers license and legal eligibility to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan are required.
Key responsibilities include investigating child abuse or neglect referrals, assessing risk for child safety, developing safety plans, transporting families, and providing emergency aid to individuals in financial need. You will also participate in a regular rotation for after-hours emergency services.
