POSITION TITLE: FINANCIAL ASSISTANT FULL TIME POSITION
*** This is a unionized position within the scope of a Collective Agreement between CUPE Local No. 2714 and the Town of Maple Creek. ***
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
Minimum Office Education Program
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Municipal Government
Proficiency with Munisoft office program and procedures
Extensive computer and office administration skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

DUTIES: Reporting to the Financial Officer the Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the finance department with accurate financial transaction processing, record keeping, and general accounting functions. This position helps ensure efficient reporting, compliance with municipal policies, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. This role also includes providing front office support as required.
HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
LOCATION: Maple Creek Town Office 205 Jasper Street
RATE OF PAY: $29.05 per hour in 2025
$30.07 per hour in 2026
(as included within the current Collective Agreement)
WORK DATE RANGE: ASAP
