Job Description
The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency is seeking an Electronics Installer. Reporting to the Technical Services Unit Supervisor, the incumbent will apply knowledge and technical expertise of wireless voice and data communications systems, principles and processes in the effective delivery of public safety telecommunications support services. The position is Headquartered in Prince Albert.

Reporting to the Technical Services Unit Supervisor, the incumbent will apply knowledge and technical expertise of wireless voice and data communications systems, principles and processes in the effective delivery of public safety telecommunications support services. The position is Headquartered in Prince Albert.
The successful applicants will:
Provide electronic installation services for the Provincial Public Safety Telecommunications Network (PPSTN) supporting mobile two-way radio communications and peripherals;
Install a wide range of electronic equipment including dedicated wildfire suppression communication equipment, automated weather stations, smoke detection cameras, and vehicle mounted signaling and communication equipment;
Work independently and cooperatively with others in a team environment to establish, build and maintain positive working relationships and ensure deadlines, goals and objectives are met; and
Liase and cooperate with other branches, crowns, government agencies, and other stakeholders, seeking, sharing and providing technical advice or expertise to reach mutual agreements and/or decisions.
Requirements:
High school diploma;
Travel to remote locations via helicopter and ATV is required;
Required to physically perform tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving supplies and equipment, and work on scaffolds, roofs, ladders, and towers up to 30m;
There is significant in-province travel associated with this position; and
Must hold a valid Class 5 drivers license.
Note:
Must be able to meet standards for Enhanced Reliability Security clearance; and
This clearance requires Canadian Permanent Resident or Citizenship status.
You will have knowledge of:
Best practices in electronics installation; and
Basic understanding of 12 Volt DC
