POSITION SUMMARY: The position is responsible for supporting all Production, Assembly, and Warehouse staff. Material is to be moved throughout the facilities in a timely and safe manner. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to handle long HSS, steel plate, and oversized steel materials. This role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and precision in yard operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate yard equipment
Load and unload long HSS, steel plate, and other heavy/oversized steel materials
Work safely with containers, moving and placing materials with accuracy and control
Secure loads using appropriate rigging/tarping/strapping techniques
Spot and shunt trailers; assist with staging and securing loads prior to transport
Handle freight documentation/load tickets/job orders accurately
Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Maintain yard organization for efficient material flow and safe access
Comply with all workplace safety standards/PPE requirements/operational procedures

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 2+ years experience as a yard or material handler in a steel, fabrication, or construction environment
Valid forklift certification (class 7)
Proven experience operating telehandlers (zoom boom/forklift) safely and efficiently
Skilled in loading/unloading long steel materials
Strong understanding of weight distribution/load balance/rigging techniques
Proficient with slings/chains/lifting attachments for various load types
Knowledge of safe stacking/staging/securing materials
Capable of reading load tickets/material tags/job orders/drawings/inventory documents
Familiar with material handling equipment
Understands workplace safety standards
Experience organizing yard layout
Able to perform basic maintenance checks
