The Building Services Worker provides maintenance and caretaking of assigned buildings and grounds. The main function of this position is to provide general cleaning for the College equipment, classrooms, offices, washrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, washrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Perform tasks such as dusting, floor care, window cleaning, garbage disposal, and equipment setup.
Follow cleaning schedules with minimal disruption.
Maintain outdoor areas (snow/ice removal, grass cutting).
Ensure building security and report maintenance issues promptly.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of general cleaning procedures and equipment operation
Basic experience in use of computer technology
Physical ability to lift/move furniture and equipment, push floor scrubber, shovel snow, etc.
Grade 12 or equivalent
At least 1 year of related experience, including the ability to work independently and communicate effectively
