Reporting to the janitorial manager, this position is responsible for janitorial duties at

Reporting to the janitorial manager, this position is responsible for janitorial duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps. Duties must be completed in accordance with contract standards & specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleaning & maintaining hard-surfaced floors.
- Sweeping, mopping, stripping, buffing, & waxing floors.
- Operating specialized floor cleaning equipment.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
- Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.
- Collect garbage.
- Clean assigned areas, including office complexes and other buildings.
- Follow ACLP policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Things to consider - let's not waste your time:
- Requires shift work at remote mining facilities & exploration camps.
- The MUST be able to work compressed workweeks.
- You must be a team player, who works well with others.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.
- Experience operating specialized floor cleaning equipment.
- One year of janitorial experience is a preferred asset.
- A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.
- Ability to perform janitorial duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Physically able to perform the assigned duties.
