Job Summary:
The Outreach Worker provides supportive, culturally respectful assistance to individuals accessing the Warming Shelter bus. This role helps ensure passenger safety, offers basic care, and connects community members to needed supports and services.  This position reports to the MFN Health Director.

Job Summary:

This role helps ensure passenger safety, offers basic care, and connects community members to needed supports and services.  This position reports to the MFN Health Director.


Key Responsibilities:
?    Engage passengers respectfully and provide trauma-informed support.
?    Assist with boarding, mobility needs, and distributing basic supplies (warmth items, snacks, hygiene kits).
?    Monitor safety on the bus and help de-escalate situations when needed.
?    Provide referrals to health, housing, mental health, and social services.
?    Document incidents, observations, and outreach interactions.
?    Work collaboratively with the Bus Driver and Warming Shelter staff.


Qualifications:
?    Experience in outreach, social services, or community support.
?    Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
?    Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction.
?    Cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully within a First Nations community.
?    Flexible availability, including evenings and cold-weather shifts.
?    Naloxone/Narcan training required or willingness to complete upon hire.
?    Ability to pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.

Location:

Muskoday First Nation is located approximately 23 kms Southeast of Prince Albert, SK on Highway 3.
