CWB LEVEL 2 WELD INSPECTOR

Wage Range: $40.00-$48.00 per hour, depending on experience.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Level 2 Weld Inspector /to oversee and optimize welding processes within our manufacturing/production operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in print reading, metallurgy principles, and a deep understanding of various welding techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring that all welded assemblies meet stringent quality and safety standards while driving continuous process improvement.
Your responsibilities:
Developing and implementing welding procedures that comply with industry standards.
Analyze prints to determine welding requirements, research and determine required procedure qualification records and have oversight of required testing per applicable code.
Upon successful joint qualifications, create a usable WPDS taking into consideration the relevant standards (AWS D1.1/D1.2/D1.3/D1.6) essential variables table.
Assist in training staff, performing visual inspections, testing and maintaining the weld labs welding equipment.
Required Technical Qualifications:
Minimum of a CWB or AWS Welding Inspector Level 2 Certificate.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a ticketed welder in GMAW, all positions and open root welding.
Understanding of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, CWB) is essential.
Experience with metallurgical analysis is necessary to adequately determine required PQR/WPDS
Experience and proficiency with training welders
Desirable Technical Qualifications:
CWB Supervisor 47.1 / 47.2, Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Experience with CAD software for review of joint geometry
PDF editing experience for weld pack creation (PQR/WPDS)
Experience as welder in GTAW.
