The Information Technology Division (ITD), Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, sets government-wide policies and standards for IT infrastructure, security, telecommunications, and citizen service delivery. The Strategic Architecture and Planning Branch has an exciting opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented individual to join as a Solution Architect.
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture, you will lead the development of conceptual and logical solution designs, evaluate service designs to ensure business needs are met, and act as part of the leadership team on IT projects. You will oversee system implementation and transition to production, lead infrastructure and platform planning, ensure compliance with technical standards, and provide technical leadership and consulting to technical and business teams. Supporting relationship managers and service delivery teams is also key.
The ideal candidate is a generalist with diversified experience in application support, infrastructure delivery, cloud services, platform support, and cybersecurity. Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, and experience mentoring and coaching are essential. Typically, requirements include a degree in computer science or related discipline, certification in Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF), at least 10 years of IT experience, and expertise in solution design and implementation.
